Lions and Leos listen to the needs of their communities and use their voices on behalf of those they serve. While hands-on service meets immediate needs, lasting change also requires advocacy – raising awareness, educating others and inspiring action.
International First Vice President Mark Lyon invites district governors to lead the way for the local voices initiative by promoting issue-based advocacy that educates local stakeholders, strengthens alliances with community leaders and supports dialogue at the local, state/regional and national levels.
GLOBAL IMPACT THROUGH LOCAL VOICES INITIATIVE
With MISSION 1.5 driving us toward 1.5 million members, there is no better time to sponsor new Lions. Membership is the heartbeat of Lions International, and growing it ensures our legacy of service continues for generations. The Membership Key Award is more than an honor – it is a tribute to the impact we make by inviting others to serve.
International First Vice President Mark Lyon asks District Governors to take the Key Leader Pledge – a personal commitment to sponsoring at least two new members this Lion year.
