    Global Action Team Commitment

  • As the 2024-2025 District Governor and Global Action Team Chairperson, your role significantly influences the successful implementation of your district’s MISSION 1.5 membership growth plan and established target achievement. You will ensure that your district’s GST, GMT, GET and GLT coordinators are collaborating and implementing plans to develop skilled leaders, strengthen membership, and expand the district’s humanitarian service.

By ensuring that your district Global Action Team understands their roles and responsibilities, your district will have the opportunity to energize your members and take your clubs to the next level.

International First Vice President Fabricio Oliveira and the MISSION 1.5 Steering Committee are committed to you, your team and the success of your district. Your district’s plans to achieve the established MISSION 1.5 targets will require commitment from you and your team in support of MISSION 1.5.

The goal and objectives of MISSION 1.5 is for Lions International to reach 1.5 million Lion members worldwide on July 1, 2027 where:

    • All districts will add new clubs
    • All clubs will induct new members
    • All CAs will achieve positive net growth
    • All districts to incorporate regional strategies to attract a diverse membership
  • Membership Development

  • For the duration of MISSION 1.5, membership targets for club extension, new member recruitment and net gain will be established in collaboration with Executive Officers and the Membership Development Committee.

As communicated in January, the following targets have been established for your district.

    • Action Plan
    • Information on how to complete an action plan was discussed during the FVDG/DGE eLearning course: Action Planning to Achieve District Goals.

Each action plan should outline the steps needed to reach the objective, including what resources are required, a timeline for when specific tasks need to be completed and which member of the team will be completing each task.

Once you have met with your district team to discuss these steps, please upload a detailed plan for each of the established goals for MISSION 1.5, Service Activities, Leadership Development and LCIF.

Need additional assistance for completing an action plan? The Sample Action Plans Booklet provides your team with examples of a district-specific goals and action plans.
